At Denali Overland Transportation Company
we pride ourselves on being the most dependable means of traveling between
Anchorage, Talkeetna, and Denali National Park.
Denali Overland Transportation Company is a charter van service based
in Talkeetna, and have been in business for over 25 years. We have ample
space to carry luggage, camping and climbing supplies, or other equipment.
We also allow time for stops you may wish to make along the way.
Our
rates are reasonable, and we use a sliding scale to ensure a fair exchange
for our services. The most economical fares are for groups of four or
more. If you are alone or in a small party, please contact us early if
you would to combine with another party. During much of the summer we
are on the road every day.
Our passengers are mainly mountain climbers - many arriving from foreign
countries, with limited time to accomplish something that may have taken
years to plan. We attempt to expedite the group to Talkeetna, making whatever
stops are necessary along with way to secure equipment or provisions.
We sometimes purchase or rent supplies for the group, holding them for
their arrival.
We can arrange lodging in Talkeetna or Anchorage for those who request
it.
- In other words - we are more than just a
ride from the airport, and that's why most of our reservations are taken
weeks or months in advance.
From April 1 to October 1 we operate 24 hours a day.
Talkeetna is approximately midway between Anchorage and Denali Park,
so the rates we charge are the same for either direction. If there are
four or more passengers, the price for one way is $75.00 each, and the
round trip fare is $140.00.
We are using newer Ford stretch vans to meet clients arriving in Anchorage.
The Classic Checker Aerobus in the photo is one of our original vehicles
that we began the business with more than 25 years ago. A cellular telephone
in the van provides communication with our office in Talkeetna at Denali
Dry Goods.
We, at Denali Overland, take pride in being the most reliable means of
transportation between Anchorage and Talkeetna, and hope to continue in
that tradition for many years to come.....
We look forward to assisting you with your travel plans....
